about Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering
Unlike the materialistic twentieth century, in this century, the education in civil engineering should be preparation for that type of engineers who consider more the preservation of global environment than the construction methodology. The aim of the course of Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering is to help students become to be that new type of engineers who raise issues and find solutions on their own initiative confronting the age of holding the adverse influence of outdated infrastructures, exhausted natural resources, and other environmental problems.
The courses in our progressive and integrated curriculum consist of three fields, "environmental and ecological systems", "construction, maintenance and recycling" and "planning and management." The required subjects in these courses allow all students to study so wide range of ideas on civil and environmental engineering that they can learn how to clarify and solve major problems, and anticipate future issues.
